Who Am I?
Karel Čáslavský is a globetrotting affiliate marketer and nomadic freelancing web designer with satisfied clients around the world. He has been building websites for over 7 years, offering personal service, practical solutions, and a refreshingly no-nonsense attitude. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a full-time career, and it is still a hobby to this day.
That is enough third-person talk. Let us get real.
I originally set out to be a programmer and software developer. I went to college motivated to do just that, but life had other plans. One thing led to another, and a few years later I found myself working full-time as a freelance web designer without ever planning to become one.
Since then, I have had the privilege of designing websites for people like Frenchie Africa, Karl Martin Online, Milwoy Digital, and The Artizan Group, with clients from South Africa, Japan, the Philippines, Germany, the Czech Republic, England, and the USA. Well, not the countries themselves, but the people living there.
Along the way, I have worked with all sorts: agencies, lawyers, doctors, diaper makers, furniture makers, family members, friends, business owners, and the occasional complete lunatic (true story). That is part of the charm. No two projects are the same, but every one of them gets my full attention and respect for proper standards, clean code, and practical functionality.
Yes, my websites used to validate. No, I am not showing you the W3C badge. Ask my mum.
These days, I balance my web design business with affiliate marketing and an ongoing mission to build financial freedom. Not just for myself, but for those I work with. I am currently based in the Czech Republic, though I travel often and plan to spend extended time in the Philippines. I do not mind hopping on a plane to work on big projects face-to-face. If warp technology ever becomes real, I will consider intergalactic projects too.
